Note : E. Wolfe & Co. was established in London in 1850. Their initial output was fairly modest however, they quickly established themselves as jewellers of high repute and by the end of the century were know as ‘The Tiara Makers’, producing over one thousand tiaras. They were also the makers of two royal crowns; The Imperial Crown of India created for George V to wear at the Delhi Durbar in 1911, and Queen Alexandra’s crown. During the 20th century they began to specialise in bird and animal jewels often contributing to the collections of famous London retailers. The name E. Wolfe and Co. is still relatively unknown to the public, hidden behind the names of retailers and designers. However their fine reputation is renowned throughout the international trade where they are known for their technical expertise, incredibly high quality and reliability.
