“In the beginning I made pearl crosses and simple designs which found instant success. I kept receiving requests for more elaborate pieces which fired my imagination further as it was something I had wanted to do. In my mind’s eye, I could visualise how each pearl would look like as a ring, pendant or brooch. I create based on the existing shape of each baroque pearl, not the other way around. I design when I have the pearls in hand so I can maximise their beauty.” Mario Buzzanca.
