A Small Gold-Splashed Bronze Censer. Qing Dynasty, 17th/18th Century
of elongated baluster shape slightly tapering towards the flared foot, the waisted neck set with a pair of applied bamboo handles, liberally covered all over with irregular gold splashes, the base cast with the four-character mark xie gu zhai zhi 'made in the hall of regulating antiquity'. width 13cm., 5 1/4 in. Estimate 3,000—5,000 GBP
