Note: Nancy Whitney. The daughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney and Marie Norton Harriman, she grew up in New York. A 38 year resident of Redding, CT, where she lived with her husband, well known water colorist Pierre Lutz, (died June 29, 1991), cultivating her gardens, fields, family and friends as well as starting the highly acclaimed Bethel Gallery of local and regional artists.
