A gilt-decorated and polychrome dark red lacquer stand, 18th/19th century

The square top supported by four sides below an undulating apron of classic scroll, set on a square support atop three short feet, the dark-red-lacquered surface finely painted on the top in gilt and red with a waterside landscape scene, the scrolling apron and openwork sides with classic and floral scrolls in gilt, repeated around the sides of the support and feet, the surface of the support centered with a lotus medallion.  90.2cm (35½in) high.
