A jadeite laughing Buddha

The translucent lavender jadeite with white and pale green patches, finely carved as the laughing Buddha carrying peaches, representing the rebus 'always laughing', on a wooden stand, dimensions 104.2 x 55.3 x 35.6mm. Sold for HK$150,000

Accompanied by a report from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the carving is natural jadeite and no resin was detected. Report number KJ 41712, dated 12th March 2009.
