The tapering square shape set on a high foot rim, a wide angular strap handle to one side, the body carved in low relief with a central stylized C-scroll band on a field of loosely drawn C-scrolling, all between squared scroll borders, the sloping lid with brown jade ball-shape finial, interior of lid with four-character inscription, the stone a rich gray-green tone. Height 5 1/2 inches. One very minute chip to one corner of the lid. Estimate $10,000-15,000
