the globular body rising to a waisted neck and an everted mouth with an incurved rim, painted with lobed cartouches each enclosing a squirrel clambering amongst grape vines and a cicada perched on bamboo, divided by detached floral sprays, the neck with a stylised band of scrolling lotus, all divided by stylised floral and foliate bands, the countersunk base with a floral spray; 19.5cm., 7 1/8 in.
