the octagonal teabowl moulded with prunus, the fluted saucer of kiku shape, both gilded, the saucer decorated in the manner of Jean Bérain with exotic figures, masks, monkeys and birds all within a framework of scrolls, the underside of the saucer and the teabowl with a formal frieze of floral motifs, both with finely engraved details minor chips to saucer, Wilfrid Evill Collection Label; saucer 11.2cm., 4¼in., teabowl 4.4cm., 1¾in.
