Set to the centre with an oval double-sided cabochon emerald, within an openwork frame of highly stylised floral and foliate motifs, collet-set with cushion-shaped, old brilliant and rose-cut diamonds, mounted in silver and gold, 19th century with later adaptations, diamonds very approximately 4.00cts total, length 6.0cm. Estimate £4,000 - 6,000 (€4,800 - 7,300)
Accompanied by a report from CISGEM stating that the emerald is natural, with a minor amount of oil/resin in fissures. Report number 58804, dated 9 June 2010.
