The dishes include a pair of large dishes, each one with a central moulded roundel containing dignitaries in interior scenes, flanked by lotus, prunus and chrysanthemum sprays, surrounded by a band on the rim with figures at leisure in exterior scenes, the reverse with various blossoming branches. And a further blue and white dish is decorated with two ladies in a garden beside a scholar inside a pavilion playing a qin. The largest 15 ¼ in. (38.7 cm.) diam.
