A large blue and white 'dragon' bowl, Daoguang six-character seal mark in underglaze-blue and of the period (1821-1850). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2014.
The bowl is sturdily potted with deep rounded sides, supported on a short foot. The exterior is delicately painted in vibrant shades of cobalt blue to depict two dragons pursuing flaming pearls amidst clouds and flames. 10 ? in. (27 cm.) diam. Estimate £8,000 – £12,000 ($13,448 - $20,172)
