with shallow rounded sides rising from slightly tapered foot to a barbed rim, vividly painted on the interior with a five-clawed dragon writhing among clouds, detailed with a shaggy mane, scaly body and serrate spine, surrounded around the cavetto by two dragons chasing a 'flaming pearl', below a lobed fillet outlining the rim and further repeated on the reverse, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within double circles
