The bowl is potted with deep flaring sides, covered in and out with a lustrous black glaze finely streaked with russet 'hare's fur' markings and pooling in an irregular line above the foot exposing the coarse ware fired to a pale brown colour. 6 1/8 in. (15 cm.) diam., box
