With high shoulders that taper towards a slightly spreading base below a slender neck surmounted by a garlic-neck mouth, the body painted in underglaze blue with the Daoist Immortal He Xiangu riding a deer, all covered in a dark reddish-brown glaze. 23cm (9in) high.
Provenance: a German private collection and thence by descent.
