The presence of minute inclusions which line up perfectly on two axes produces this rare effect of asterism. Burmese peridots are the only ones which are know to have this effect typically accompanied by a lesser schiller effect. The present circular cabochon has a strong and center four-rayed star present at its apex. Weighing approximately 39.59 carats and measuring 18.5 x 12.0mm
