the centre of the dish enamelled in green with two Buddhist lions encircling a beribboned brocade ball, their paws grasping trimmings that curl to resemble lingzhi scrolls, the exterior similarly painted with four alternating lions and balls, the underside inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark - 15.3 cm., 6 in.
