The vase is painted to the exterior of the body with peaches, pomegranates and gourds growing from leafy stems, alternating with floral sprays, all between two lappet bands and waves encircling the foot. The bulbous garlic mouth is painted with an intricate band of chrysanthemum scrolls. 11 in. (28 cm.) high

Collection of a Spanish diplomat, who was based in Shanghai in the 1940s.
