The vase is freely painted in varying shades of cobalt blue with two pheasants perched upon rocks, surrounded by large peony blooms and bamboo stems. The shoulders are painted with a band of peony and lotus sprays encircling the neck. 8 7/8 in. (22.6 cm.) high
