Molded with a shallow curving well and raised on the tapered foot, the interior and exterior covered with a deep scarlet wash that thins along the rim, exposing the white clay fabric beneath a colorless glaze covering all surfaces except the foot pad but displaying a faint celadon hue across the recessed base where the mark is written in underglaze blue seal script. 6 1/2in (16.5cm) diameter
