The vase is incised with two five-clawed dragons pursuing a flaming pearl above undulating waves, and beneath ruyi, key fret, and lappet borders on the shoulder and neck, all in green on a rich egg yolk-yellow ground. The base is incised with an artemisia leaf and similarly glazed. 15 ½ in. (39.4 cm.) high
