A blue and white 'Ko-sometsuke' octagonal dish, Tianqi (1620-1627). Estimate £1,200 - 1,500 (€1,600 - 2,000). Photo: Bonhams.
The rounded sides rising from a cylindrical foot, painted to the interior with two figures approaching a bridge, in a rocky, tree-strewn river landscape, before distant mountains, the flattened rim decorated with pine, bamboo, prunus and trailing, leafy branches, with Japanese wood box. 7.5cm (6 7/8in) wide (2).
