The wide vessel finely painted with the Eight Immortals in a garden visiting a seated Shoulao with attendant on the opposite riverbank, the interior well with a scholarly landscape scene within a roundel, all raised on a thick footrim with a keyfret border. 35cm (13 3/4in) diam.

Note: 玉堂佳器 yutang jiaqi, 'Beautiful Vessel for the Jade Hall' is a base mark associated with blue and white wares of the late 16th and early 17th century.
