Notes: The two Scotsmen are likely Rifleman Shaw and Piper Macdonnel, both Jacobite martyrs, after prints engraved by George Bickham and published in 1743. The engraving of the piper was also used as the frontispiece for A Short History of the Highland Regiment of 1743.
