The tall body bulging somewhat before tapering to the flat base, with a pair of simplified animal-head handles applied below the grooved rim, both the side of the conical cover and the side of the mouth rim scored with two parallel lines for alignment - 33 3/8in. (56.8cm.) high - Lot 188. Estimate $6,000 - $8,000. Price Realized $5,975
The result of Oxford Authentication Ltd. thermoluminescence test no. C202b89 is consistent with the dating of this lot.
