The thickly potted bowl with deep, rounded sides and everted mouth rim, the exterior vigorously painted in underglaze blue with a pair of writhing four-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls, and carp leaping above crashing waves, all against a rich blue ground, the interior glazed white, the base with apocryphal Chenghua four-character mark - 9 11/16in.
