the first of a luohan, portrayed with emaciated chest and an austere expression; the second of Guanyin, seated on a rockwork base holding a sycee in one hand, the back impressed with a seal reading Lin Xiaozong yin, wood stands (4). Height of taller 8 7/8 in., 22.6 cm
Provenance: American family collection, acquired in the 1940s (by repute).
