of cylindrical form, the exterior finely painted with a continuous scene depicting an official paying tribute to a scholar in retreat, accompanied by a chariot and attendants in a riverside landscape with rocky mountains and clouds, the rim incised with a floral scroll and the foot with a chevron band; 21.4 cm, 8¾ in.
