the vase with an ovoid body surmounted by a short waisted neck and flared rim, applied with a thick brown glaze and reserved-decorated against the buff-coloured body beneath with a foliate scroll between formal borders; the jar similarly decorated with buff-coloured peony scrolls carved through the brown glaze; 19.5 and 9 cm, 7 5/8 and 3 1/2 in.
