Molded with a circular rim and eight faceted walls to the body of inverted pear form, each carved with a lei-wen reserve above descending and ascending leaves visible beneath the olive green glaze applied to all surfaces except the foot ring and lip, the octagonal cover incised with scroll work below a lotus bud finial and partially covered with glaze. 3 3/4in (9.5cm) high
