sturdily-potted, the gently rounded sides rising from a short footring to an everted rolled rim, carved to the interior with a trellis diaper medallion encircled by freely incised scrolling lotus, the underside undecorated, covered overall with a lustrous sea-green celadon glaze. Diameter 19 in., 48.3 cm.
Provenance: Collection of Aileen Aderton (1904-2005), Maryland, acquired in Kyoto, 1948 and thence by descent.
