The magnolia-form cup with flared sides is finely carved around the exterior in high relief with magnolia blooms, the handle in the form of a large mangolia blossom issuing from a gnarling branch extending to the base. The material is of a rich caramel tone.
Provenance: Acquired in Washington D.C., 1972, and thence by descent within the family to the present owner.
