The exterior painted with three registers of various musical instruments including theqin, cymbals, drum, musical stone, flute, pipa, sheng, and bell, interspersed with floral sprays below a band of cloud scrolls at the rim and lotus lappets above the foot ring, the interior with further musical instruments within double circles, below a band of flower scrolls below the interior rim, box.
