each potted with straight sides rising from a flat footring, the exterior meticulously carved with joyful figures engaged in fishing, woodcutting, ploughing, and reading, or the 'Four Pleasures', all in a continuous landscape with rivers and pavilions, applied overall with a muted honey-yellow glaze, the rims densely packed with dots imitating bamboo, the underside impressed with a four-character reign mark.
