with steep rounded sides rising to a flared rim, delicately painted in the 'boneless' style with a row of asters in front of a begonia plant.

Note: Begonia and asters were popular decorative motifs during the Yongzheng period and numerous pieces with Yongzheng marks exist. A bowl with this subject matter with Yongzheng mark and of the period was sold in these rooms, 20th March 1976, lot 219, and another in our Hong Kong rooms, 25th November 1980, lot 162.
