the feline cast in a tightly coiled pose, with a collar round its neck, its head supported on a paw, resting on its rump, the details finely incised, all supported on a circular disc that serves as the base of the weight, wood stand, Japanese wood box (5).

Provenance: Kitayama Fine Arts, Tokyo, acquired in the 1970s.
