The bowl is sturdily potted with deep sides rising from a short foot and is covered overall in a rich celadon glaze. The interior is moulded with a central flower head surrounded by large carved flower heads.
Provenance: Acquired in the 19th century by the Duc et Prince de Blacas (1853-1937), and thence by descent within the family at the Chateau d'Usse, Loire Valley, France.
