the bowl with an everted rim, supported on a tall, slightly spreading hollow foot, painted on the exterior with a scholar on a horse followed by an attendant carrying a qin going to visit friends, with other scholars in a mountainous landscape setting, the interior with a medallion enclosing a scholar by a riverbank within double-line borders, a band of geometric cross pattern on the interior rim, the interior of the foot rim with a four-character mark in underglaze blue.
