With shallow sides, the interior finely inlaid with a scene of a scholar contemplating a large overhanging vine-hung pine branch that extends from a rock face joined by a bridge to the rocky promontory on which he sits, all in soapstone and mother-of-pearl, the rim inlaid in silver wire with key fret, raised on four shallow bracket supports.
