Carved in delicate detail as a large lotus leaf with characteristic veining on the interior and exterior, carved around the sides with a lotus leaf and flowers borne on the stems that issue from the base and, along with saggitaria, form the handle, where the saggitaria continues over the rim into the interior on one side of the cup.
Provenance: From the collection of Ethel Gunton Douglas, acquired in the 1920s-30s.
