The ceramic brush handle is formed by a dome-shaped receptacle polychrome enamelled with waves breaking against rocks above a chevron band, the cylindrical handle with an ascending dragon in iron-red and the dragon's scales picked out in gilt, amidst clouds, the pointed tip of the handle enamelled with a Shou character, highlighted in gilt, fitted with a horse-hair brush, box.
