The immortal is shown seated holding a peach that rests on his cloth-draped hands. He wears court robes with decorative borders, a shawl, ruyi-toed shoes and a ribbed court hat secured with a hair pin and tied with cords that fall over a lock pendant at his chest. An apocryphal inscription with a date equivalent to 1184 is inscribed on the interior..
Provenance: In the family of the current owner since the early 20th century.
