With a two-panel floating top set flush within a square mitred, mortice and tenon frame with beaded edge, above a plain narrow waist and aprons of arched, curvilinear form with strongly moulded beaded edges continuing down the elegantly curved cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet carved with a stylised foliate leaf to the outside edge, the underside with two transverse stretchers.
Provenance: Formerly in a German collection formed in China between 1912 and 1938.
