naturalistically modelled in the form of a furled lotus leaf borne on a long stem and detailed with incised petals on the interior, the stem split into two slender stalks, one curling over the rim towards the centre and the other branching out beneath and across the base issuing a lotus bud, covered overall with a smooth and even white glaze.

 

Provenance: Acquired from Edward T. Chow (1910-80) in the late 1960s.
