EDINBURGH.-The Scottish National Portrait Gallery presents Painting in Crayons: Pastel Portraits from the National Galleries of Scotland, on view through 30 September 2007. This fascinating display will include around twenty-five of the finest portraits in pastels, crayons and coloured chalks.
The selection of light-sensitive and rarely seen portraits will include works by eighteenth-century Scottish and European masters such as Allan Ramsay and Archibald Skirving. The display will also highlight later and more recent examples by Sandy Moffat and John Byrne. (by courtesy of www.Artdaly.org)
