Note : Vladimir Ovchinnikov was one of the founders of the Russian Nonconformist movement in St. Petersburg. Throughout his life Ovchinnikov worked extensively for the Hermitage and Marinsky theatre, as well painting religious pictures. From 1964, the artist exhibited extensively in Russia and abroad. His works are gathered in major museums as well as in private collections all over the world. Ovchinnikov currently lives and works in St. Petersburg.
