A large patinated bronze tiger - Late Meiji Period, signed Genryusai Seiya

Well cast in a relaxed recumbent posture with its forelegs crossed to the front beneath its alert visage, its bronze-colored stripes realistically rendered on a matte brown ground, the underside with a large cartouche reading Dai Nihon Genryusai Seiya-zukuri. 21 1/2in (54.6cm) long - Sold for $5,500 plus Premium and tax
