A small calcified jade deer pendant - Song/Yuan Dynasty
The recumbent deer carved with its head raised looking forward, with ears pointing backwards and slightly raised horns, the hair denoted by lines at the haunches, shoulders and chest, with a small tail at the back, the right foreleg raised and the others tucked under the belly, the stone of pale green tone with calcified ivory and russet inclusions. 4.3cm (1¾in) long. - Estimate: £1,000 - 1,500
