A soapstone figure of an Immortal - 18th century
The Immortal, possibly Zhongli Quan, standing with arms stretched down covered by the long flowing robes tied at the waist and billowing in the wind, the robes incised with crane roundels amidst cloud scrolls and floral patterns below the collar with a wave pattern, the bearded face with a gentle smiling expression under a high forehead and combed hair coiled into two knots, soapstone stand. 18.4cm (7¼in) high.
