carved in the form of a large lotus leaf curling upward to form the shallow vessel, supported on the meandering stem below, smaller stems and tendrils sprouting upward with smaller leaves and lotus pods, supporting creatures of the lotus pond, including a pair of fish, a dragonfly and a frog, of celadon-gray color with gray flecks, russet and white inclusions to the base, many incorporated in the depiction of the creatures, carved wood stand (2). est 10 1/2 in., 26.7 cm.
